Mark Boyko

Mark_Boyko2I am a spirit of energy called passion. This is my drive.  To be an energy force of and sustainability for all “enlightened spirits”. A “no suffering” grounded soul who has surrendered to this divine being.

I grew up in Southern California on the outskirts of the greater Los Angeles area. As a young teenager, after school, I would head straight to my Grandfather’s farm, where I was inspired by working in the garden and orchard.  My grandfather was so impressed by my passion and commitment; he gave me a ½ acre of the land to create my garden along with sole responsibility of maintaining and harvesting. During this time I began reading the works of authors David Henry Thoreau, Mark Twain, & John Steinbeck; these and other authors validated my love for nature and living things. I soon found my true spirit.

The last 35 years has been spent in the outdoors, absorbing nature’s beauty. This in turn gave me the tools to make career in working the earth’s soil. I specialize in landscape design, and construction, together with my nursery where we grow plants and trees that are utilized in my projects. I am facilitator of complete turn key landscaping from, hardscapes and softscapes.

A few years ago I became dedicated to a healthy organic sustainable lifestyle in my home and business. A year after becoming a daily practioner of yoga, I decided to live as vegan raw foodist.  As I cleansed my body and mind, I became clearer as to what my life’s purpose was.  To bring an end to world hunger while benefitting the planet, by re-introducing edible landscaping to the common household.

I am fully committed to making HG Edible Landscapes a building block of empowerment that will educate, inspire, and broaden the urban community’s ability to cultivate their own affordable healthy food.
