Kellie Wood
I am a health and fitness advocate who’s first priority is my family which includes my two young sons, my Le Cordon Blue trained husband and our pets. As a fitness advocate it is extremely important to be mindful and educated about what is going into your body and where it came from. With an education based around biology and human fitness it is my passion to bring a healthy and sustainable lifesytle to those around me. I am an extremely busy mom, like most moms out there, and currently in the process of my own lifestyle transformation, and making important and resposinsible changes within my own household. My goal is to show others like me how to make small changes and better choices that will lead to better health for their entire family and more resposible living at the same time.
I grew up in southern California and always had a passion for athletics as well as the natural world, but was not raised in either a heath-concious enviroment, or a envirometally-concious one. I jokingly refer to it as a ”can-food family who didn’t recycle”. At 14 I became a self proclaimed ”vegetarian” at an attempt to do what i thought was the right thing. I learned quickly it takes more than a title to make a lifestyle change and struggled with it for the next 6 years. As an adult I have left titles
behind in pursuit of health and happiness. As a mother it is my passion to teach my boys, as well as others, that there is an healthy and sustainable way to live and that it is up to us to make the change. We do not have to accept that which is set before us as our only option, we have the ability to grow and sustain our own food and to be less dependant and more responsible in the process. I believe we can open one mind, one individual or one family at a time to grow a better community and a better future.
